Professional Journey
Josh’s path into technology began nearly a decade ago, when he transitioned into IT through My Computer Career. Before stepping into the world of troubleshooting and support, he worked primarily in maintenance and warehouse roles.
Then came one of the most defining chapters of his life: serving in the U.S. Navy for five years. During that time, Josh completed three deployments and served in the weapons department, an experience that gave him a front-row seat to some pretty incredible moments and shaped his discipline, resilience, and problem-solving instincts.
Those strengths ultimately paved the way for his move into IT, where he has spent the last ten years building his technical expertise.
Role at the Firm
Josh is a key member of the Helpdesk team supporting Oxford. He handles day-to-day technical issues, helps keep users productive, and provides the kind of steady, reliable support that makes a helpdesk truly function.
What He Loves About His Role
For Josh, the standout part of working here is the people.
“The people I work with, there hasn’t been a negative experience,” he shares. That sense of teamwork and support is what keeps him energized each day.
Getting to Know Josh
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A marine biologist, quite the pivot from IT, but the curiosity stuck.
Favorite hobbies?
Reading, gaming, board games (always looking for players!), and hanging out with his dog, Kai.
Who do you admire most?
His dad, whose lessons continue to shape the way Josh lives and approaches life.
Something unique that has happened in your life?
Serving five years in the Navy and completing three deployments.
Favorite superhero?
Spider-Man; the hero who always gets back up.
Favorite book?
The Dresden Files series.
Favorite movie?
The Goonies; a comfort classic he’ll watch anytime it’s on.
Favorite food?
Lasagna.
Favorite place to visit?
Colorado; especially the mountains.

Dragon Ball Z.
