From Dial-Up to Co-Owner
Brett’s journey into tech began in the early ’80s, sparked by a love for dial-up modems and Bulletin Board Systems. That passion led him through roles in LAN/WAN administration, startups, and large corporations—ultimately landing him at TeamMIS, where he’s grown into a co-owner of the firm.
“Technology came naturally to me,” Brett says. “But helping people—that’s what drives me every day.”
Wearing Many Hats
As co-owner, Brett’s role spans sales, technical solutions, engineering, and strategic planning. He thrives on switching gears throughout the day, but his long-term vision is clear: build a repeatable, process-driven organization that maximizes success across every department.
Helping Is the Mission
For Brett, the best part of his role is simple: helping others. Whether it’s implementing new tech or supporting teammates and partners, he’s committed to making a meaningful impact.
Childhood Dreams & Career Turns
Brett once dreamed of being a marine biologist until he realized his fear of deep water. He also considered video game design but found his true calling in computing and network engineering, where his natural aptitude flourished.
Hobbies & Interests
Outside of work, Brett is a gamer and hockey fan who enjoys running (even if it’s not his favorite). He regularly hosts role-playing game nights with lifelong friends, diving into worlds like D&D, Alien RPG, and Walking Dead RPG.
Family First
Brett’s proudest achievement? Raising his daughter and providing a comfortable life for his family. “Watching her grow into her own is the most rewarding part of my life,” he shares.
